On March 20th we're taking part in Youth Music's Give A Gig Week, one of more than 100 shows across the UK in support of the charity. Continuing our mission of mining the mountain of phenomenal Northern Irish talent, we've two more for you tonight, as well as a Florida born Nashville star, and a English/French speaking Londoner who's been setting Europe alight with her performances. International or what? See below for videos, playlist and info on the acts.

Doors are at 7pm, music from 7:30pm.

“Conquers beautifully” The Independent
“A rare kind of truthful songwriting” The Irish Times
“Reminds me of Pink Floyd... epic!” - Cerys Matthews BBC 6 Music
“Masterful storytelling... smoky but unexceptionally beautiful vocals” - Gigslutz
“Brilliant Stuff” - Lauren Laverne BBC 6 Music
"Furious and fierce... Juliette is a little bit of My Morning Jacket, a little bit of Beck in there… a little bit of Nick Cave too. Just the holy trinity really, isn’t it?... Blue Lights - file it right next to your War On Drugs record, it's a worthy place there..." – Roddy Hart, BBC Radio Scotland
“He can remind you of artists of yore through mood without really sounding like them at all. I feel like I felt when I first heard The Velvet Underground & Nico, again Leonard Cohen, and Richard Hawley's Late Night Final, but it's just a feeling, a nice one mind..." REMY - The Best of Music and Film
“Completely encompassing... Pat Dam Smyth can have you completely transfixed" Gigslutz
“Pat Dam Smyth’s debut album, ‘The Great Divide’, was critically acclaimed upon its release in 2012… the new record’s first single ‘Juliette’ suggests that he should be expecting at least as much, if not more adulation”. - CMU

Having recently returned from triumphant support slots with BBC 6 Music favourites Public Service Broadcasting as well as stunning several opera houses packed full of people in Ireland opening for the legendary Alison Moyet, Pat and the band recently performed a special live session at the legendary Abbey Road Studios on Valentine’s Day this year to kick off 2018 live performances in style. The finishing touches are still glistening on the new album which is set for release in September 2018 with Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) at the helm on production and mix duties. Pat is undoubtedly one of those artists that everyone says they’ve always loved once he becomes the cult hero we all know he’s destined to be. An artist in the 70’s mould… he’s the sound of 2019. We cannot wait for this record.

Featured in the Guardians FUTURE 50 top artist in the world (nov 2016) - Imogen Tilden, The Guardian ‘She’s sure to stop you in your tracks…Really is so beautiful…’ - BBC Radio 6- Mary Anne Hobbs  ''What places her on a higher plane than most of her contemporaries is actually pretty simple: the sheer strength of her songwriting, and the truly soul shifting quality of her voice... This is mature, refined songwriting of the highest calibre.'' - Loud & Quiet Magazine ('Wandering heart' Album review October 2016) 8/10

One of London’s most acclaimed artists takes her unique sound to the regions this spring with shows in Sheffield, Manchester, Northampton, Chester, Bath, Exeter, Hastings, Ramsgate, Southampton and Deal. 2016 and 2017 were massive years for Brooke Sharkey. A critically acclaimed new album (Wandering Heart), a record deal with V2 Benelux, an album launch at the iconic Jazz Café, the Guardian tipping her as one of their Future 50 artists to watch, and a joint headline show at London’s Union Chapel with Blick Bassy which flew up to second place in their poll of best gig of the year 2017. But it was also a transformative period for Brooke’s music, sparking a new creative period experimenting with new sounds, returning to performing solo in a more stripped back set up.

This is song-writing in English and French, that inspires self-reflection, healing, and acknowledge strength in vulnerability, shining a light on universal experiences in a searingly honest but ultimately positive way.

"Rebekah Fitch has become something of a Northern Irish pop phenomenon" - Hot Press "Rebekah Fitch is unequivocally poised for pop stardom” - Gigging NI "Artful pop with a real sense of depth, her songwriting is deeply individual" - Clash "Sublime production and burrowing hooks... And who said pop music couldn’t be weighty or profound?" - The Thin Air

Combining the artistry of Florence + the Machine, the thought-provoking lyric writing of Stevie Nicks, and the wonder and curiosity of Bjork, Rebekah Fitch is a new artist that will spark intrigue. The power of music is in its ability to carry a message, and this is exactly what Rebekah does. In a rapidly transforming world, she challenges listeners to stop and think for themselves, finding where they stand before being swept away in the chaos. You don’t have to ditch the instantly-memorable pop melodies to find something with more substance. Her music is influenced by an eclectic mix of artists, ranging from the likes of Lana Del Rey and Lorde, to an interest in the experimental and electronic music of Bjork and Portishead. Intricately woven lyrics invite you to explore layers of meaning to uncover the full extent of what she has to say.

She has already gained commercial success with playlisting on Cool FM, U105 and Dublin’s FM104 (as their Select Irish Artist), as well as performing live sessions on BBC Radio Ulster, Metro Radio, SPIN1038 and more. Her dynamic multi-instrumental live shows, complete with mesmerizing live-looping and powerful vocals, have really started to get people talking, having played at festivals such as Stendhal, Evo Emerging and Moira Calling, and supported bands including Hermitage Green. After just releasing her debut EP, Broken Mind, (which was praised by Clash Magazine, Nialler9, The Thin Air, The Last Mixed Tape and more), Rebekah’s future looks to build on strong beginnings.
