Ana Silvera Joins Karousel Music Publishing • New Album The Fabulist coming this year

Ana Silvera Joins Karousel Music Publishing with new album The Fabulist due this year.

We’re so happy to have agreed a deal to work with the wonderful Ana. In many ways, Ana was one of the seeds that started Karousel: when we heard her first album, we were so puzzled as to why it wasn’t out on a huge label that we started one in our old guise at Karamel, to make sure it got a real release. We’ve all been on a journey since. It’s a beautiful thing for us to be coming back together. There’s no question that there’s no one like Ana. A lyricist weaved at every thread with genuine poetry, and a composer, singer and performer of the highest calibre. This is what Karousel is all about, and we’re so happy to have her join our wee gang of brilliant writers and artists.

Her new album, ‘The Fabulist’ is on it’s way imminently, with the first single ‘Ghosts’ in a couple of days on Jan 20. You can listen to that here on Friday https://lnk.to/GhostsASilvera (give it a pre-save, it all helps the dreaded algorithms.)

In addition to her stellar solo material, Ana has also written scores for dance and theatre, including Cassandra, a full length piece for the Royal Ballet; and The Offing, a theatre adaptation of the best-selling novel by Benjamin Myers. It was a score that featured stars of the UK folk scene Aidan O’Rourke on violin and Rob Harbron on concertina.
We’ll post some more bits in the coming months, but for now presave the new single, check out the previous album which is a work of art; and film maker and supervisor friends, get in touch about scoring.
