Chris Difford returns to Karamel with a host of friends for the season ender…

Wednesday July 2nd sees our old pal Chris Difford returning to the N22 neon, in the shadows of the Victorian Gas Giants on Coburg Road. We’ve just returned from Chris’s writing retreat in Glastonbury that we help curate these days – another wonderfully put together event by the wizard – those of you with a long association with us will know how the roots of Karamel/Karousel sprung from these weeks, and Chris Difford’s ethos of collaboration and co operation.

For the first time the week was sponsored by some new friends at the Buddy Holly Education Foundation – huge thanks to Peter and his family for generously putting the funds up to make sure some of our artists and friends could take part in what was a sensational evening. We’re incredibly excited about working more closely with them in the future. Big hearts are always welcome around here.

For this special one off show, joining Chris will be a host of tremendous artists you may or may not know: Leslie Mendelson; Joel Sarakula; Andy Caine; Alex Vargas; Samantha Whates and Charlie Turner. Performing a mixture of songs written on the week, and old favourites, it’s a night not to be missed. Please get in touch on rsvp@karouselmusic.com or on the facebook event HERE if you’d like a table reserving. Nearest tube is Wood Green on the Piccadilly Line; nearest overground is also only 5 minutes away at Alexandra Palace.

Here’s the kind of thing that happens later into the evening on the weeks – never a dull moment. That there is the legendary Andy Caine, assisted by our old pals Joel Sarakula, Samantha Whates and lots of others. Can’t wait to hear him play that on Weds – ask nicely!
