Songs From The Shed x Karamel Music

Next week we have two shows in collaboration with Songs From The Shed founder Jon Earl. We have a special kinship with Jon, because he does everything for the artists he promotes with his online blog for free. He’s had well over two million hits now, and he’s providing a wonderfully lo-fi online resource for emerging acts. And like us, he tries to give these emerging acts the benefit of being tucked in amongst some big hitters. It’s not unusual these days for him to get 200 requests per week to appear… Talk about careful what you wish for! Today he’s had Turin Brakes in – and in the past he’s had the likes of Fairport Convention, Alabama 3, Tim Minchin and Seth Lakeman among many others.

Jon is curating two nights – one on Monday at the Northern Embassy showcase at the Phoenix Artist Club; and one at our Karamel HQ in Wood Green. Click on the links for more info on the facebook invites. If you’d like to come to either show, fire us an email to rsvp@karouselmusic.com and we’ll do our best to make sure you have a free guest list slot (we can save you places for friends too if there’s spaces left).

These two shows see sets from old friends The Dunwells, as well as some acts that are new to us: Mary Spender; Hunter & The Bear; and Hot Feet. Below are some videos for you to get an idea of the acts. And of course, the now legendary Shed! He’s had requests to pack it up and take it to Glastonbury et al… Don’t do it Jon, you’ll never get the mud off the bronze lady! We’re very much hoping you’ll all join us for these two fantastic nights, and help us help him help these artists!

If it’s good enough for Bob Harris…
